I just read a very interesting article entitled, “The Bell Tolls for Thee, GOP.” It was actually a very interesting and well written article about how the GOP tactics are backfiring and that the GOP needs to change it’s strategy into one of change much like Barack Obama has done. It may be too late.

With polls showing that 80% of Americans thinking we’re off track, something needs to be done. Change is what we’re all looking for, right? Well, I personally don’t think it’s going to come from the nearly 80 year old Senator elect of Arizona. I think when people look for change they look for something fresh, something new. Barack Obama is giving America what they want to hear. John McCain is not going to be able to ride on Obama’s shirttails either.

I think the saddest part for me right now is that I don’t feel Senator Obama meets with me at all in terms of the issues. He’s going to change things, but not in the way that I’d like them to go. The GOP, holds more of the traditional values I hold dear, but right now it’s splintered and represented by a bunch of Cotton-Headed Ninny Muggins’.

So, I couldn’t agree more with the article. But I always hate “the lesser of two evils” scenario when it comes to public office.
