MegaPhone, a company that makes digital signage interactive, has come up with a software solution that allows for large group games in public venues by using mobile devices. It’s a way to bring digital screens and digital signage together with text messaging and mobile devices. Callers call a phone number to join. Once they’ve joined the game, they play by saying commands into the phone, which are picked up and recognized by the computer which then moves their character on the screen. It’s a super cool system and can have many applications for use, especially with interactive advertising.
