I’ve written several different times on SMS integration with digital signage. Making interactive digital signage is not only helpful for gaining engaging information and content, it’s also a great way to better measure digital signage ROI. Projective Marketing provides SMS integration services for your digital signage network. Any signage firm who wishes to really increase ROI measurement as well as engage their audience in the advertising experience, needs to get SMS integrated with their signage. It’s a must!
Games, Trivia, and Text-to-Screen all have a place in this regard and will be a great dominating force in the future of interactive advertising via SMS

[…] What is our niche? You are. If you’re reading this, you’re what we at Projective Marketing like to call Generation Text, or the TxT Generation. They’re the second generation baby boomers who utilize technology for everything: education, entertainment, shopping, and socializing. This is the group we target, and we often can do it interactively. […]

Integrating text messaging with signs is a very innovative idea. It would work great on promotional signs like at amusement parks. Billboards might not work as well because it’s tough to text while driving, unless the passenger does so.

You’re right. I already have seen a keyworded short code on a large billboard that faced a major road. I thought the same thing.

I just read a story about how a city is setting up text message alerts for traffic jams and detours. It’s the same example in a way. Reports have come out linking increased accidents to text messaging. Then how come our own leaders are setting up a system like that? Who’s going to read traffic alert text messages? People on the road, driving?

There’s an idea! You could have a text to voice conversion system on a speaker phone in that instance that would increase safety. There’s already a couple of companies that do something similar, but that’s a whole new niche in and of itself. Find the hurt, heal the hurt. Something there though that someone could monetize for sure. Thanks for your great comments.
